Hi, I’m Judy Heminsley, a writer and blogger living in an old mill building by a river in rural Somerset.
I founded and grew the blog Work from Home Wisdom, which became a high-ranking site respected in the small business world.
I’m no longer running WfHW, although it’s still available online for home workers to enjoy and to benefit from the experience of many freelancers and home business owners.
I’m the author of Work from Home (How To Books), which has been called an ‘encyclopaedia of home working’ and ‘a must-read for all home workers.’
Previously I’ve worked as what used to be called a personnel officer (human resources to you young folk!), set up and run a cleaning business looking after some of the most beautiful buildings in Bath, and been a business adviser to SMEs in Cornwall.
Among my favourite things are trips to the sea and the city, stretching in Pilates class, encountering friendly cats, and getting lost in a book. Oh, and the odd sneaky (box of) Bendicks Bittermints.
I’d love to hear your thoughts, so please comment on the posts and don’t hesitate to tell me about how you delight in the everyday and your ideas for things to feature.
